Janice Leung

BMedSci (Hons) Speech Science (UK)
Speech and Language Therapist

Janice received her Bachelor of Medical Science degree in Speech Science at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom, in 2015. She is a certified member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, and the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists. She speaks English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Janice has worked with individuals in a range of settings, including acute and rehabilitation hospitals, international and mainstream schools, community, and government organisations in both the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.

Early identification and intervention is essential to enable children who have speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties, to participate fully in their daily lives. However, Janice takes a step further by adopting a holistic and family-centred approach to support and empower children and their families. She identifies each child’s strengths and needs, and works closely with parents/carers and other professionals involved in supporting the child, to create an individualised therapy plan. She has also conducted parent empowerment workshops to help parents/carers gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to guide their children. Janice believes this will further enhance the children’s abilities and relationships.
